Effective Leaders Must Continually Seek Growth

We live in an age where the transfer of information and knowledge flow at an unprecedented level. We live in the e-age. The ability to grow, learn and collaborate allows professionals of today to evolve in ways unimaginable by their predecessors. For the leader, the path of evolution and e-lightenment are more accessible than ever.

However, as in the times of old, ultimate success is built upon the fortitude found within the hearts of men and women. Striving to become a better leader and person is an endeavor that requires consistent effort.

To be a leader is perhaps one of the most noble and challenging undertakings a person could accept. The way of the leader is a way wrought with courage, reflection, patience and endurance. For a leader, the creation of an effective team is an endeavor which tests every aspect of his/her character and fiber. An effective leader is a breed, which combines the best attributes of the psychologist, the teacher, the visionary and the general under one guise.

It is said that a team is but a reflection of the leader. Individual strengths, weaknesses and dispositions are passed along from the leader to the team. That being said the way of the leader is also one of introspection and self-renewal. For the professional, the insight that comes along with truly know thyself is a pre-requisite for effective leadership. The cultivation of excellence and wellness in the self allow for those same attributes to be established in the team.
